At more than 700 pounds each, Butch, Howie and Phoenix - the three sea lion bulls at the Queens Zoo - have no trouble putting away about 24 pounds of fish a day.



This fact was less than appetizing to 7-year-old Alex Warren, who watched the three behemoths at their morning feeding this week.



Queens Zoo visitors will be able to learn more about sea lions' insatiable appetite with zookeeper chats.



"I'm allergic to fish," said Alex as he munched on a sandwich with pal Nakai Padgett, 6, just a few feet from the sea lion exhibit. However, he added: "I like the noises they [the sea lions] make."
