Stress - individual and family

Stress - Individual and Family
A family is a unit composed not only of children but of men, women, an occasional animal, and the common cold. - Ogden Nash

We hear a lot about stress. People are now very much conscious of stress factors. Even the well informed one forgets the bad effects of stress, when one is in a situation that may produce stress. Getting angry with wife for not locking the door when on an outing; getting doubts about the oven-in-on at home while one is in the middle of a film; the boys forgetting the assignment; looking at bills of credit and card accounts- all may produce stress of different levels and also cause reactions which may irritate one's near and dear and neighbors.
The stress finds expression in a variety of emotional changes. Weeping, throwing tantrums, shouting at other family members, irritation, or isolating oneself from others are some results of such stress.
